Nordic walking is a trendy sport that originated in the Scandinavian countries. It was originally devised as a form of summer training for biathletes, but has since attracted a large number of followers in the general public.
Contrary to regular walking, Nordic walking involves the use of two poles which require specific arm movements and help you to walk faster. Nordic walking trains 90% of the muscles, is remarkably easy on the joints, and constitutes a soft form of whole-body training.
